I am pursuing a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus and plan to graduate at the conclusion of the Summer semester of 2023. Finishing my bachelor’s degree and graduating has been a long-delayed goal of mine that I am eager and proud to finish.

I have over 20 years of on-the-job IT experience. Starting as an enlisted data systems technician in the United States Marine Corps, I served as a system administrator for various air command and control applications. While on active duty, I completed certifications ranging from DB administration, enterprise service administration, web design, and advanced operating system administration. I worked as an instructor both for entry-level Marines in data systems administration as well as in oversight of reserve unit Marines during different tours. I left the service as a Chief Warrant Officer 2 (CWO2) and subject matter expert for my specialty and occupational field. In my position, I was a senior advisor to squadron commanding officers for communications readiness.

After leaving active service in the Marine Corps, I have been employed by Unisys Corporation, Engility, SAIC, and, most recently, Maxar Technologies in support of various DoD and IC government contracts.

As a civilian, I have achieved certifications in Agile Methodology, AWS, CompTIA+, and more.

Over several years I have transitioned from a background in systems administration to a path toward software development and DevOps. I currently work as a Product Owner for multiple Agile teams and as a software development manager and mentor for direct reports.

Outside of my technical skills, I enjoyed an adventurous career as a Marine. I participated in several operations, deployments, and campaigns, some relevant to my specialty and some not.
